How do you fit a zoom lens onto a point and shoot when the lens is bigger than the camera? Simple; build the camera around the lens!
 
The AZ300 looks quite funky, but is a competent camera. Utilising a lens that is comparable to many SLR lenses of the time, the AZ300 provides both quality and versatility in a reasonably compact package.
 
The camera is designed to be held and handled much like a camcorder, which seems odd at first, but you will quickly realise that it is actually both comfortable and easy to use.
 
This particular example features a date back, which is pretty rare for these.
