Explore the Art of Lino Printing with Jantze Holmes (@ajuryofbees)

Join us for an immersive 3-hour workshop dedicated to the art of Lino Printing, led by the talented artist Jantze Holmes (@ajuryofbees) This workshop is designed for complete beginners, we will dive into the fundamentals of Lino Printing, a popular printmaking technique that involves carving designs into a block, applying ink and then printing the design.

Using local wildflowers and plants as the inspiration Jantze will be showing you

- how to make a design, 

- how to transfer it onto the Lino block, 

- how to carve the Lino and use the tools, 

- how to ink up and print from the Lino. 

Jantze will be showing you techniques which use simple tools ( no printing press) and will be easy to replicate at home with little expense. 

It’s suitable for all levels (no drawing experience is necessary and lots of source material will be provided to copy, trace or draw round to create a lovely design!) 

All materials will be provided, including blocks, carving tools, ink, and paper. So you can just turn up and learn something new!
