FAQS
How can we help?
Is my Camera tested?
YES! We battery test, film test and develop a roll of film from all of our cameras we sell. Nothing makes it to the website without going through this process. This way we can guarantee you will get a working camera.
Does my film camera need batteries?
Some do, some don't, usually it depends on if the camera has a built in flash. All our listings have a section called 'what you will need'.
This should include the type of battery your camera will need (if it needs one).
Do you repair cameras?
Yes, we can repair cameras. They aren't always cheap, and can sometimes take us a long time. But we are happy to take a look at anything.
If you have something you want us to look at just fill out an enquiry form .
I'm a beginner. Where do I start?
Starting film photography can be daunting. But don't worry, we help beginners out all the time! Drop us a dm on Instagram and Ross will be happy to answer any questions or give you suggestions on where to start.
Or keep a look out for one of our beginner friendly photography events we have planned throughout the year.
How many pictures do I get?
With 35mm film, the number of shots is usually labelled on the box and the film cannister.
24EXP = 24 shots
36EXP = 36 shots
You can find rolls with different EXPs like 12 or 14, but usually its just 24 or 36.
Can I reuse film?
No, once it has been shot and developed, a roll cannot be used again in the camera. however the negatives once developed can be scanned as many times as you need, so if you loose your pictures, you can always scan the negatives again.
What type of film does my camera need?
There are all different kinds of film, including 35mm, medium format and large format films, but majority of cameras take 35mm film.
